Timber Sale for Jordan T. and Simone L. Stone

Offered for sale is a quality loblolly pine plantation planted in the early 1980s. The stand is comprised of 27.98 acres on the south side of the power line and 8.99 acres on the north side of the power line for a total of 36.97 acres to be clear-cut. Additionally, there are two short stream-side management zones totaling 1.18 acres that will be selectively harvested. Within the SMZ’s only the trees marked with an Orange “O” will be selectively harvested. The stand has received two thinnings, the latest around 2010 or 2011.
Within the primary harvest clear-cut area, pine sawtimber averages 15,653 board feet per acre and 96 boardfeet per tree. There was no tallied hardwood sawtimber within the timber sale area. Pine Chip-N-Saw on the property totals over 836 tons or 22.6 tons per acre. Pine fiber will contribute an additional 7.1tons per acre, including topwood.
Two small streamside management zones, one on either side of the power line, have been marked and may be selectively harvested. Within this area, only the trees marked with an Orange “O” are to be harvested.
