Offered for sale is a by-the-unit clear-cut timber harvest on 5 parcels of land totaling 232.7 acres of primarily pine timber. This timber is highly variable in maturity, ranging from pre-commercial to mature, both loblolly and longleaf pine. Forest products to be harvested include pine fiber, chip-n-saw, pine saw logs, a few poles, hardwood fiber and mixed hardwood logs. Much of this timber is located on well drained soil. After the timber harvest, this property will be cleared for agricultural purposes.
Property lines have not been marked. After a successful timber sale, it will be the responsibility of the timber buyer to accurately locate and mark all property lines. Two surveys cover a majority of the property and are recorded at Map Book 23, page 90A and at Map Book 43, page 121 in the Robeson County Register of Deeds.
The “Conditions of The Timber Sale” as normally associated with a sale conducted by Rawlings Consulting Forestry will apply. Of these, please note the following:
All timber harvesting must be completed within 12 months of the date of the sale.
A deposit on the timber may be required and would be applied to the initial harvesting statement(s).
The successful buyer will be expected to follow to Forestry Best Management Practices.
A performance bond must be posted with the owner’s agent, Rawlings Consulting Forestry, PLLC.
Inventory data is not available for this sale. Interested buyers should submit unit prices and a tentative start date. Rawlings Consulting Forestry reserves the right to reject any and all offers and may require on-site inspections of previously harvested stands. Due to current market situation, this sale may be closed when acceptable prices are offered.
