Timber Sale for Joan B. Wood Trust — Sold!

Offered for sale is a 28.64 acre stand of mature pine timber. The entire sale area will be clear-cut of all merchantable timber.

Within the timber sale area, pine sawtimber averages 13,613 board feet per acre, pine Chip-N-Saw averages 5.5 tons per acre, and pine fiber averages 2.5 tons per acre. Hardwood, poplar, red oak and sweetgum add an additional 220 board feet per acre.

The logging access will be from Jerusalem Church Road or the back of the field adjacent to Jerusalem Church Road. The farm path beyond the gate is not to be used for logging access.

There is a single, short segment of stream-side management zone (SMZ) adjacent to a beaver impoundment along the north edge of the timber sale area. No timber will be harvest from within the SMZ.
