Sold! — Offered for sale by the consulting forester is a first thinning on 36.575 acres of loblolly pine plantation. The timber sale area consists of eight individual stands, varying in both age and spacing. The timber to be removed will vary by stand and may include 3rd, 4th and 5th row thinning with a targeted residual stem count between 175 and 250 dominate trees per acre, dependent on age and spacing. All hardwood fiber within the sale area is to be harvested. Interested buyers should submit unit prices and a tentative start date. Rawlings Consulting Forestry reserves the right to reject any and all offers and may require on-site inspections of previously thinned stands.

Sold! — Offered for sale by the consulting forester is a stand of mature pine timber totaling 46.432 acres. This area will become the Department of Transportation right-of-way for the I-295/Fayetteville Outer Loop. With the exception of normal stream side management zones, the entire timber sale is to be clear-cut and may be accessed via a farm path from Andrews Road. Within the timber sale area, pine sawtimber averages over 4,291 board feet per acre and 163 board feet per tree.

Sold! — Offered for sale by the consulting forester is a selective timber harvest on 106.1 acres of mature pine timber. This harvest will remove 100% of the pole and piling quality timber. The remaining timber will be marked by Rawlings Consulting Forestry with "leave" trees, not to be sold, harvested or damaged. The "leave" trees will consist of a uniform selection of varying diameters, primarily pine, to provide the appearance of a natural stand with a residual basal area of 40 to 50 square feet. Known RCW cavity trees within the sale area will not be harvested or purposefully damaged. Only that area as indicated on attached map dated February 14, 2008 as prepared by Rawlings Consulting Forestry is to be a part of this timber sale. All "leave" trees and timber not located within the sale area as indicated on the map are to remain the property of Andrews Road Company and are not to be harvested, cut or damaged. Sold! — Offered for sale by the consulting forester is a small stand of timber totaling 4.9 acres. The timber sale is to be clear-cut and may be accessed via a farm path from Eagle Rock Road, through the pasture. Within the timber sale area, pine sawtimber averages over 3,191 board feet per acre and 177 board feet per tree with pine chip and saw contributing an additional 14.4 tons per acre.

TT&E Iron and Metals

Wake County, NC

Sold! — Offered for sale by the consulting forester is a clear-cut timber harvest on 7.4 acres of high quality, old growth, mature pine timber. This harvest will remove 100% of the merchantable timber in preparation for the facility expansion and site development of TT&E Iron and Metals. Site plans have been approved by the Town of Garner Planning Department and the Board of Alderman. Erosion control will be the responsibility of TT&E, to be approved by and conducted in accordance with Wake County regulations. The timber sale area has been surveyed and staked. A tree protection fence will be installed at the expense of TT&E prior to timber harvesting. Only that timber located within the timber sale area as indicated on the timber sale map dated July 8, 2008 prepared by Rawlings Consulting Forestry is to be part of this timber sale. All trees and timber not located within the sale area as indicated on the map or within the tree protection areas are to remain the property of TT&E Iron and Metals and are not to be harvested, cut or damaged. There is no "Place of Sale". All bids must be in writing and received in the office of Rawlings Consulting Forestry by mail, fax or email no later than 11:00 A.M., August 8, 2008. Phone bids will not be accepted for this sale. Each bid must clearly indicate unit prices by species, product and mill destination. Rawlings Consulting Forestry reserves the right to reject any and all offers and may require on-site inspections of previously harvested areas.
