Within the timber sale area, pine sawtimber averages over 2,848 board feet per acre and 279 board feet per tree. The hardwood sawtimber is dominated by high quality cherrybark oak averaging over 1,496 board feet per acre and 427 board feet per tree. Other species, including red oak, green ash, black walnut, sycamore, hackberry, hickory, red maple and sweetgum, add an additional 3,592 board feet per acre.
