GPS Mapping

GPS (Global Positioning System) mapping utilizes a constellation of satellites orbiting the earth. Unique signals from each satellite are continually broadcast providing their exact location and altitude. On the ground, the GPS receiver simultaneously collects the signals from multiple satellites, analyzes for quality, triangulates, and provides the precise location of the user.

Rawlings Consulting Forestry, PLLC, utilizes GPS equipment manufactured by Trimble Navigation providing sub-meter accuracy on-the-move and an occupied accuracy within inches.
